- Lincoln officially bought its first Super Bowl spot, and apparently the ad is going to be "extremely social."And the company is taking this very seriously. In fact, a new WPP agency called HudsonRouge was created specifically to work for Lincoln. Creatives will be in New York, and media planning and buying in Detroit.
- Ad agencies started giving consulting firms like McKinsey & Co. a run for their money.
- Marin Software, a digital ad management platform, added two new people to its C-suite. Peter Wooster and Nancy Kato were appointed chief revenue officer and chief people officer respectively.
- Univision is rebranding some of its Spanish-language television. TeleFutura will now be called UniMas and be geared towards a young, more male demo.
- Digiday collected brands' predictions for what won't happen in 2013.
- KFC has a holiday ad by DraftFCB about how annoying your family probably is.
